Crosson (Wilhelmina) is born in Rutherford, New Jersey.

April 26, 1900

The daughter of Charles and Sallie (Davis) Crosson, Wilhelmina Crosson moves to the Boston area in 1906, attends the Hyde School, and graduates from Girl’s High School and Salem Normal School. She pioneers the teaching of remedial reading in the Boston public schools beginning in 1935,* graduates from the Boston Teachers College, and receives a master’s degree from Boston University. Crossen serves as president of the Palmer Memorial Institute in North Carolina (1952-66)., returns to Boston, and lives at 195 West Springfield Street,. She dies in Boston on May 28, 1991, and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.
